About Sync-on/off

With WebSnip Extension, using the Sync-on and off toggle, you have the option to extract data to the same Excel workbook or multiple workbooks.

How to extract data into one workbook

Before you begin, ensure that the toggle "Sync Snips to Excel" is turned on.

  1. Choose an empty cell where you'd like the data to be placed.
  2. Start capturing data from web pages using WebSnip.
  3. WebSnip will automatically sync and cross-reference the extracted data into your Excel workbook.

  4. The Document Viewer will display additional information, including a screenshot of the captured evidence, the URL of the webpage, and the timestamp of the extraction.

How to extract data into multiple workbooks

Before you begin, ensure that the toggle "Sync Snips to Excel" is turned off.

  1. To work with sync-off mode, start by importing a document into DataSnipper.
  2. Start capturing data from web pages using WebSnip.

  3. Once you've captured the necessary data from your evidence, select the empty cell in your workbook where you want the data to be placed.

  4. Repeat the previous step for each Snip in their respective workbook(s) where you want the data to be extracted and cross-referenced.

  5. In each workbook, the Document Viewer will display additional information, including a screenshot of the captured evidence, the URL of the webpage, and the timestamp of the extraction.

During Sync-off mode, you can create up to 10 WebSnips. Once you reach this limit, begin exporting your Snips to designated workbooks.

Please note that the DataSnipper Excel Online is a feature included in Cloud Collaboration Suite (CCS), which is a separate paid add-on module and is supported by DataSnipper version 6.0 and later.
