About User Management
User Management System is designed to provide control and visibility over employee access to DataSnipper, addressing issues related to over-deployment, user management challenges, visibility and accountability issues, and user provisioning. This feature is instrumental in achieving a streamlined and empowered user management experience.
Prerequisites
- DataSnipper version 6.1 or later
- User-level Licensing method enabled
- DataSnipper Enterprise package (for SSO login)
Magic Auth Login
Magic Auth login is a passwordless login method that allows users to sign in via a unique, six-digit, one-time-use code sent to their email inbox.
Step-by-step guide
- Open your Excel with the DataSnipper add-in installed.
- Click on the “Sign in” button.
- Provide your email address and click “Continue”.
- Check your email inbox for your one-time-use six-digit code.
- Copy and paste the six-digit code you received into the pop-up in your Excel.
- You have successfully logged in! The first time you log in, we will ask you to provide your Full name. After this time, you won’t be asked again.
SSO Login (Enterprise package)
With Single Sign-On (SSO) you can log into DataSnipper by authenticating through your organization's identity provider (IdP).
This option is available only for organizations that are on the Enterprise package.
To be able to log in with SSO, your organization's Implementation Manager needs to enable it first. Learn more about setting up SSO for your organization here.
Step-by-step guide
- Open your Excel with the DataSnipper add-in installed.
- Click on the “Sign in” button.
- Provide your email address and click “Continue”.
- A pop-up window will appear from your organization’s identity provider asking you to select your account.
- You have successfully logged in! You can now start Snipping!
