About Form Extraction - Advanced Options

Form Extraction - Advanced Options leverages AI to automatically detect data fields and extract data from various structured and unstructured documents at scale. Reduce manual tasks, streamline document processing, and increase efficiency significantly with the power of AI.

You can extract data from Identity Documents, Business Cards, US Health Insurance Cards, US Tax W-2 Forms, various US Tax 1098 forms, Receipts, Contracts, and Invoices.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Click on the Organize button to import your source documents. Here, we are importing a set of passport copies from different countries.
  2. Click on the Document Extraction button, and select Form Extraction from the dropdown menu.
  3. Select ‘Start new Form Extraction’, and choose ‘Use AI Suggestions’ from the pop-up window.
  4. Select the relevant document type - (Identity Documents in this case) from the drop-down menu and choose all the documents you want to extract data from.
  5. In the new window, check-off the data fields you want to extract (e.g., First and Last Names, Document Number, Date of Birth) and click ‘Accept’ to view sample extractions on the right-side panel.
  6. Click on the Extract button, following which the data will be displayed in a tabular form on your Excel Workbook.

💡Please note that the Form Extraction Advanced Options is part of the Advanced Extraction Suite add-on and is only available in DataSnipper version 6.1 or later.
