Overview
DataSnipper Excel Online is included in the current Start, Accelerate and Elevate packages. Cloud Collaboration Suite is legacy naming, rather than a separate current package or premium add-on. Administrators use ManageDS at https://manage.datasnipper.com to check organisation access and licensed users. Users install the browser add-in from the Office Add-ins store and sign in with their licensed work email using the organisation’s configured SSO or email verification-code method. A specific legacy contract can differ; the Customer Success Manager can confirm that entitlement. The desktop COM add-in is not required for this browser add-in.
Before you start
Your organisation must have DataSnipper Excel Online enabled at organisation level.
Your user email must be added and licensed in DataSnipper User Management.
Sign in to DataSnipper with your licensed work email and your organisation’s configured SSO or email verification-code method. DataSnipper does not universally require Microsoft authentication. You still need access to Excel for the web through the appropriate Microsoft 365 account; that Excel-host prerequisite is separate from the DataSnipper sign-in method.
You also need an internet connection and permission to use the DataSnipper add-in under your organisation's Microsoft 365 app policy.
Install DataSnipper in Excel Online
Open a workbook in Excel for the web.
Open the Office Add-ins store from the Excel ribbon.
Search for DataSnipper.
Select DataSnipper for Excel Online and add it to the workbook.
Open DataSnipper from the ribbon or your installed add-ins to display its task pane, then sign in with your licensed work email.
If your organisation manages add-ins centrally, use the DataSnipper add-in assigned through its Microsoft 365 deployment. If the store or add-in is unavailable, ask IT to check the assignment and add-in policy.
Ask IT to assign the approved DataSnipper add-in to your account or group when central deployment is required or the store is unavailable. A managed deployment and a personal installation can create separate entries; do not remove the managed copy without checking with IT. This browser add-in installation is separate from installing the DataSnipper desktop Excel add-in.
Administrator checks
Customer administrators should use ManageDS at https://manage.datasnipper.com to confirm that the user is added and that the organisation has the required access. ManageDS is the current customer administration portal.
If the Excel Online option or required setting is not visible in ManageDS, contact DataSnipper Support or the Customer Success Manager to confirm the organisation-level entitlement. Routine Excel Online enablement does not require redeploying or replacing the desktop license.txt file.
Troubleshooting
Confirm that you are using Excel on the web. Confirm the affected user is listed in User Management with the correct work email.
Sign out and back in using the organisation’s configured authentication method.
Confirm the DataSnipper add-in is allowed by the organisation’s Microsoft 365 add-in policy.
If access is still missing, contact DataSnipper Support with the user email, organisation and the message shown in Excel Online. A screenshot is useful if available; Support can start with the details you have. If no error message is available, give a short description. Share the checks already completed and say which details are unavailable; Support can advise on the next step.
Removing and recreating a user is not a routine sign-in troubleshooting step.
