How to transfer work between versions of source documents within DataSnipper

When working with documents in DataSnipper - especially when importing updated versions, conflicts can occur. To maintain continuity and reduce rework, DataSnipper provides a seamless way to transfer all your work (snips, comments, and markups).

Step by Step Guide


  1. Perform necessary procedures in your workbook, and save the annotated document.
  2. This ensures that all your work is securely stored and associated with the original file version.
  3. Now, let’s demonstrate a scenario where you have made changes within the source document where it is stored.
  4. When you re-import the updated document with the same name:
    1. DataSnipper will detect that the content has changed
    2. A conflict warning will appear, alerting you that the document has already been imported but its content differs.
    3. Simply delete the document if irrelevant, or reimport the document by following the prompt window
5. And that’s it! You can now ensure that Snips and work is transfered from between source document versions when working in Excel with DataSnipper.
