In DataSnipper version 6.1 and later, you have the option to configure the location of your FSS projects upon importing them into FSS.
Easily configure the location of your projects when importing them into the Financial Statement Suite. This flexible option allows you to designate the exact location for your files, be it your desktop or any other (shared) folder of your choice, making document retrieval quick and easy.
💡 Please note that file storage configuration is only supported by DataSnipper version 6.1 and later.
About the Financial Statement Suite
Financial Statement Suite (FSS) is a separate paid DataSnipper Add-on Module. FSS automatically analyzes your financial statements and helps to both perform and document all financial statement procedures extremely fast, while relying on your judgment – improving standardization and the overall quality of procedures.
Prerequisites
- DataSnipper version 6.1 or later
- Financial Statement Suite Add-on Module
- File storage configuration enabled

Step-by-step guide
Before you begin, make sure File Storage Configuration is enabled. You can reach out to your designated DataSnipper representative to enable it for you.
- To get started, open an Excel Workbook and click on the ‘Financial Statement Suite’ icon on the DataSnipper ribbon.
- The Financial Statement Suite will open in a new window.
- Click on the ‘Start a Tick & Tie Project’ button if you are starting a new tick & tie project.
- Click on the ‘Open Project’ button, if you want to work on an existing project.
- Click on ‘Set project location’.
- Your File Explorer will pop up in a new window. You can choose the folder where you want to save your FSS project.
- Click ‘Start Tick & Tie’.
- You have successfully configured your FSS project location.
- Next time you work on the same project, you can simply click on ‘Open project’ and select your project directly from the location where you saved it.
💡 Please note that once File Storage Configuration is enabled, your FSS Homepage will have a new look (screenshot below). If you would like to switch to default file storage settings, please contact your DataSnipper representative.
