Getting started with Prebuilt Agents

Prebuilt Agents are custom agents built and tested by DataSnipper, covering common audit and finance procedures. Instead of writing an agent from scratch, you can enable a ready-to-use agent for a procedure you already run, try it, and adapt it to your engagement.

You'll find them in the Prebuilt Agents tab of Agents. Each Prebuilt Agent is built and tested by our experts to meet the requirements of a highly regulated environment, and covers procedures such as Revenue Cut-off testing, Three-way AP matching, Capital Additions testing, and other procedures.

Prebuilt Agents are available to everyone with Excel Agents access. No settings change or migration is needed. The Prebuilt Agents tab appears automatically for your organization, and your existing agents are untouched.

Each Agent shows a name, description, and tags, along with a detail page. Use search and filters to find the right procedure.

Because an enabled Agent becomes your own editable copy, you can adjust it in Agent Builder just like any custom agent, change the steps, logic, and criteria to match your organization's methodology. Use a agent as-is, or use it as a foundation and make it your own.

What you can do with Prebuilt Agents depends on your role:

If your role doesn't allow you to enable agents, you can still browse the full library to see how each procedure is built. To have a agent enabled, ask a colleague with the Content Manager role, or reach out to your DataSnipper representative.
