What does UpLink do?
UpLink is DataSnipper's AI-powered PBC portal. You send clients a secure link to upload their documents, and UpLink's AI reads them and answers your predefined queries automatically, reducing document extraction time by over 95%.
Is my data secure?
Yes. UpLink is SOC 2 compliant and undergoes annual penetration testing. Only users assigned to an engagement can access its documents, and sensitive requests can be restricted to your audit team. UpLink also supports Single Sign-On (SSO).
Does UpLink's AI train on our documents?
No. Our models do not train on uploaded data, and no document content is retained for training once your queries have been answered.
What file types and languages does UpLink support?
UpLink supports most common file types, including PDFs, images, and screenshots. AI queries on Excel files are not yet supported. OCR currently covers Latin-alphabet languages, with support for additional scripts on our roadmap.
Can I add multiple documents to a single request?
Yes. Each request can hold multiple files, and your queries run across every document in that request.
Can I control who can see and edit uploaded documents?
Yes. By default, clients can revisit and edit their uploads. Mark a request as sensitive to make it write-only, so documents cannot be accessed or changed after upload. You can also restrict specific requests to selected engagement team members.
Can I set deadlines and send reminders?
Yes. Set a general deadline for all requests or individual deadlines per document. UpLink can automatically remind clients ahead of the due date.
Do clients pay to use UpLink?
No. Only the audit firm pays for UpLink. Clients can upload documents and respond to requests at no cost.
Can we track the status of requests?
Yes. Both auditors and clients see a dashboard showing completed and outstanding requests. Analytics on completion rates and turnaround times are also available.
