How to configure your file storage location in Financial Statement Suite

In v6.1 or later, configure where your Financial Statement Suite projects are stored when you import them, including desktop or shared folders.

In v6.1 or later, you can configure the location of your Financial Statement Suite (FSS) projects when you import them. This flexible option lets you designate the exact location for your files, whether your desktop or any other (shared) folder of your choice, making document retrieval quick and easy.

FSS is a separate paid DataSnipper add-on module that automatically analyzes your financial statements and helps you perform and document financial statement procedures quickly, while relying on your professional judgement.

Prerequisites

  • v6.1 or later

  • Financial Statement Suite add-on module

  • File storage configuration enabled

Step-by-step guide

Before you begin, make sure file storage configuration is enabled. You can reach out to your designated DataSnipper representative to enable it for you.

  1. Open an Excel workbook and click the Financial Statement Suite icon on the DataSnipper ribbon.

  2. The Financial Statement Suite opens in a new window.

  3. Click Start a Tick & Tie Project if you are starting a new tick and tie project.

  4. Click Open Project if you want to work on an existing project.

  5. Click Set project location.

  1. Your File Explorer opens in a new window. Choose the folder where you want to save your FSS project.

  1. Click Start Tick & Tie.

  1. You have successfully configured your FSS project location.

  1. Next time you work on the same project, click Open project and select your project directly from the location where you saved it.

Once file storage configuration is enabled, your FSS Homepage will have a new look (screenshot below). If you would like to switch to default file storage settings, contact your DataSnipper representative.
