What is DocuMine?

DocuMine is an AI engine that eliminates the tedious task of manually searching through large volumes of documents. You can ask specific questions to receive precise answers. DocuMine automatically suggests answers to your questions and creates references to the relevant numbers, text, or sentences.

By replacing manual work with AI, users can focus on reviewing and validating data while staying in full control.

What is Question Bank?

Pre-requisites

  • DataSnipper v25.2 or later

  • Accelerate or Elevate DataSnipper package

  • Access to the internet

  • User Management enabled on your organisation's license. This is a license-level configuration managed by your DataSnipper administrator or Customer Success Manager. Individual users cannot enable or check this setting themselves. If Question Bank is not appearing despite having the correct version and package, contact your CSM or internal DataSnipper admin to confirm User Management is active on your license.

Step-by-step tutorial

Step 1: Open DocuMine

  1. Click the DocuMine icon in the DataSnipper ribbon in Excel.

  1. The DocuMine pane will appear on the right side of your screen.

Step 2: Select a use case from the Question Bank

  1. An option to choose a use case from the Question Bank is now available in the pane.

  1. Choose a use case, or click See all use cases for the complete list.

Step 4: Review and select questions

Review the list of questions, select or deselect as needed, and click Finish to complete.

Step 5: Confirm the selected questions

The input questions have been selected from the Question Bank.

Step 6: Select your source documents

  1. In the DocuMine pane, select the document(s) you want to search for answers.

  2. Click Start to initiate the DocuMine process.

Step 7: Start your review

  1. Once DocuMine completes the process, click Start Reviewing to review the AI-generated answers in Excel.

  2. Each cell will contain answers found in the document.

  3. Answers will include Snips referencing the source document, making verification simple.

Step 8: Validate the answers

Confirm the accuracy of each answer by reviewing it carefully:

  • If the answer is correct, click Approve to save it in the designated cell. Approved answers will be highlighted as pink Snips, confirming your review is complete.

  • If the answer is incorrect, click X to discard it. Rejecting an answer will remove both the incorrect answer and its associated Snips.

  • Click the pencil icon on the Answer Card to launch the Answer Refiner.
