How to create company templates in Form Extraction

Share your saved Form Extraction templates across your organization using Company Templates, so everyone works from the same vetted setup.

Company Templates let you share your saved Form Extraction templates across your organization. A saved template is stored locally in the My Templates tab; a published company template appears in the Company Templates tab for everyone in your organization. Company Templates are available in DataSnipper v6 or later.

Prerequisites

  • DataSnipper v6 or later.

  • DataSnipper Elevate package.

  • The Owner role on your company Dashboard. Only users with the Owner role can see the Templates tab. Contact your Customer Success Manager to request the Owner role.

  • A saved template in the My Templates tab.

Step-by-step

  1. Right-click your saved template in the My Templates folder and click Download template.

  2. Once the download is complete, go to the Documents folder on your PC.

  3. Open the DataSnipper folder, then the Templates folder, and confirm your template is there.

  4. Click the Templates tab in the upper ribbon of your Dashboard.

  5. Click Add Template.

  6. Choose the .xml file you want to publish from your Templates folder.

  7. Fill in the required information, including template name, template description, and target documents (the type of documents you want to extract, for example bank statement or confirmation response).

  8. To review the template before publishing, click Save and download it from the Templates Manager page in the Dashboard.

  9. When you are ready, click Save & Publish. The template is published and visible to everyone across your organization.

After you save and publish your company template, restart Excel to see the changes.
