Search, filter and tags for Custom Agents. You can now add tags to your custom agents to group, filter, and find them quickly across your workspace. Tagging never affects an agent's version history, so audit trails stay intact.
Add-in loading label. When the add-in loads in Excel, it now shows "DataSnipper for Excel" as the product name. (Available from v26.2)
Real-time progress for SharePoint & OneDrive imports. When importing files from SharePoint or OneDrive, you'll now see real-time progress, including how many files have been found and how the import is going.
Improved stability when opening large documents. Fixed an issue where the DataSnipper Excel add-in could freeze when opening large documents. Documents now load progressively, so your work isn't interrupted. (Available from v26.2.2)

Tags for Custom Agents. You can now organize Custom Agents with tags: assign multiple tags when creating or updating an agent to group, filter, and find them across your workspace. Changing an agent's tags never affects its version history, so audit trails stay clean.

Cross workbooks reconciliation. Excel Agents can now read data from more than one excel workbook at a time, so you can compare and reconcile numbers across files. (Available from v26.1.22)
Find files in SharePoint and OneDrive. You can now ask Excel Agents to find files for you in SharePoint and OneDrive. The agent always asks before adding a file to your workbook, and only sees files you already have access to. This functionality becomes available once the OneDrive and SharePoint connections have been added through Integrations. (Available from v26.2.0)
Use your saved templates. You can now ask Excel Agents to use one of your saved AI Extractions Templates by name. The agent may also suggest a matching template, you decide whether to use it.
SharePoint and OneDrive inside Excel. You can now bring files in from SharePoint and OneDrive without leaving Excel. Click the new Integrations button in the ribbon to sign in and pick the files you need, you'll only see files you already have access to. (Available from v26.2.0)
Company templates now show alongside personal ones. Your company's shared templates now appear next to your personal ones in AI Extractions, each tagged 'Company' so they're easy to spot. Anyone can use them; only admins can edit them.
Links open in your default browser. Links you click inside DataSnipper now open in your default browser. (Available from v26.2.0)

Agent Builder is now generally available. Agent Builder is now generally available to customers using Excel Agents. Design and reuse your own AI agents tailored to specific audit and finance workflows.
Easier template type selection. When creating an AI Extractions template, the "Type" dropdown now links directly to guidance on choosing between Table (consistent rows-and-columns data like invoice line items) and List (variable-structure data like registers).
Excel Agents opens by default on startup (v26.1.25). Excel Agents now opens automatically when you launch Excel with an empty workbook. Workbooks that already contain DataSnipper content continue to open in the Document Viewer, and a new onboarding banner introduces Excel Agents to first-time users.
Single startup toggle for Excel Agents. The two separate Excel Agents startup settings have been consolidated into one toggle.
Excel hanging or freezing on startup resolved. Fixed an issue where Excel could hang or freeze on startup with the DataSnipper add-in, most often in shared-server and multi-user environments.

Suggest a schema for AI Extractions. Generate a draft AI Extractions template directly from a sample document. Review the suggested fields, adjust anything you don't need, and run extractions in fewer steps.
Excel Agents usage now visible in Usage Dashboard and Advanced Data Export. Admins can now see a time-based breakdown of AI messages used by Excel Agents, making it easy to monitor team activity over time.
New 'DocuMine Answers Requested' metric in Advanced Data Export. New "DocuMine Answers Requested" metric in Advanced Data Export , Admins can now track DocuMine usage in greater detail via the Advanced Data Export.
Field descriptions in AI Extractions template builder are now expandable. Field descriptions can now be expanded and collapsed, making it easier to read and refine detailed guidance when building templates.
Template builder now defaults to Text data type. The data type in AI Extractions now defaults to Text, reducing setup steps. Extraction results and accuracy are unaffected.
Faster Export to Excel in AI Extractions. Exporting extraction results to Excel is now significantly faster.
Clearer messaging when extraction limits are exceeded. AI Extractions now shows a clear message explaining what needs to be adjusted when a file or document limit is hit. The current limits are: Max documents per extraction run (task): 75 documents; Max pages per document: 300 pages; Max file size per document: 200 MB.
Easier template type selection in AI Extractions. The Type field now includes a tooltip that takes you directly to the relevant guidance to choose the right option for your extraction type.
AI-suggested extractions capture nested field structures. When AI Extractions suggests fields from a document, it now captures the full nested structure , for example, a list of technicians where each technician has their own jobs and details. Re-run extractions on previously processed documents to benefit.
Excel Agents now handle long conversations without losing focus. When a conversation grows very long, the chat is condensed automatically and an indicator is shown so the agent keeps working without interruption.
Failed extractions now show clearly and can be retried. Extractions that fail mid-run now show a clear failed status and the Run button becomes available again, so you can retry without refreshing the page.
Sign-in blank screen resolved. Some users saw a blank screen after clicking sign in. This is now fixed; no action needed.
Login prompt no longer appears for users without a DataSnipper license. Users without a DataSnipper license can now open Excel workbooks without being prompted to sign in.
Multi-text snip now returns readable text. Fixed an issue where the multi-text snip returned garbled or code-like output. If existing snips were affected, re-run them to get the correct output.
Copying a worksheet with snips now works correctly. Copied sheets now have their own independent snips, rather than pointing back to the originals.
Excel Agents no longer fail when reopening a workbook. No longer fail when reopening a workbook , Agents can now continue working seamlessly in workbooks that have been closed and reopened within the same Excel session.

AI Extractions interface now available in Japanese. The AI Extractions interface is now available in Japanese. The language switches automatically based on your locale, extraction results are not affected.
Loading saved template field order fix. Fixed an issue where loading a saved template could rearrange field order. If your templates were affected, simply reorder the fields and save once to restore your preferred layout.
Bulk operations recovery fix. Fixed a bug where snipping and other bulk operations could fail unexpectedly after an error. Affected operations now recover and continue as expected.

Unicode support for AI Extractions field names. You can now use non-Latin characters, including Japanese, Arabic, and Cyrillic, when naming fields in your AI Extractions templates, making it easier for multilingual teams to work in their own language. Existing templates are unaffected.
Chat history in Excel Agents. You can now access, reopen, and switch between past conversations directly within Excel Agents, keeping all your work context in one place.
Document sync in chat sessions. Chat sessions now stay in sync with your workbook when documents are added or removed, so the agent always works with the latest set of documents without needing to restart the conversation.
Date extraction accuracy. Document Extraction now handles a wider range of date formats more consistently, so extracted dates better match the source document and require fewer manual corrections.
Agent progress visibility. Excel Agents now shows how many steps have been completed and how many remain, so you can track progress at a glance.

Internal Consistency suggestions handle repeating page headers. Internal Consistency suggestions in FSS now work more reliably on documents that contain repeating page headers. These headers are correctly filtered out, ensuring that Internal Consistency suggestions are generated effectively and that users get the full benefit of automated cross-referencing across their financial documents.
