How to compress the file size of workbooks

Reduce DataSnipper workbook size by compressing imported documents (up to 50% smaller on average) and removing unnecessary files.

DataSnipper stores PDF documents inside the workbook. Keep your workbook lean by deleting unnecessary files and compressing the rest.

Compress imported documents

Compressing imported documents reduces the workbook size by up to 50% on average.

  1. Use Remove, then Compress Imported Documents in your toolbar.

  2. After about a minute the workbook is compressed. Save it and share it with your colleagues.

DataSnipper has no hard limit on the number of files you can import into a workbook. We recommend keeping the total size of imported files under 100MB when sharing workbooks.

Removing unnecessary files

From a compliance perspective, it can be useful to remove documents after your test is complete.

  1. Use Remove, then Select documents to remove in your toolbar.

  2. Select the files you want to remove.
