Video walkthrough

What the video covers

The walkthrough shows adding comments to a document, viewing and resolving them, adding text, arrow, checkmark, and crossmark markups, and exporting the document with its comments and markups.

Comments

  1. Click the Comment icon on the DataSnipper ribbon, or right-click the document and select Add a Comment.

  2. Place your cursor on the document and click once to open the comment box. Type your comment and click Send to post it.

  3. View, search, reply to, and resolve all comments on a document via the View All Comments icon on the DataSnipper ribbon or the top-right of the Document Viewer.

  4. This opens a panel on the right of the Document Viewer showing all comments. Use the search bar to find comments, and resolve or delete them here.

Markups

To add text markups, arrows, checkmarks, and crossmarks, click the Markup icon on the DataSnipper ribbon. An additional toolbar appears on the Document Viewer with the markup options and colours.

Text markups. Click the A icon on the Document Viewer toolbar, click where you want the markup, and type. You can change the font size, remove the box border, and change the text colour. Click the delete icon to remove a markup, and use Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V to duplicate markups across documents or areas.

Arrows, checkmarks, and crossmarks. Select the arrow, checkmark, or crossmark option, then drag the cursor to place the markup. You can change its colour and size or move it, and click the delete icon to remove it.

Export markups. Export source documents with comments and markups in two ways: click the Export icon on the DataSnipper ribbon and tick Export with Comments and Markups, or open the Document Organizer, click Export, and tick Export with Comments and Markups.

Hold the Ctrl key to select multiple markups and change their colour or size, or delete them, all at once.
