Prerequisites

  • Evidence documents for each attribute being tested

  • Test script or Excel workbook for documenting results

Steps

  1. Import your supporting evidence documents for the control you are testing.

  2. Use the document viewer drop-down to select the document relevant to the specific control attribute.

  3. Select Validation Snip from the DataSnipper ribbon. Click and drag over the relevant part of the document to create a cross-reference for each assertion being tested.

  4. Repeat for each sample item, or document one item for coverage as your testing methodology requires.

  5. Use the Exception Snip to flag any control exceptions for a reviewer.

  6. Finalize your documentation with any commentary on the control or your conclusion.

To add multiple snips to the same cell, hold CTRL while creating each additional snip.
