How to use keyboard shortcuts in DataSnipper

A full reference of keyboard shortcuts in DataSnipper for selecting snip types, working with Excel, and navigating imported documents.

Keyboard shortcuts can speed up your snipping workflow in DataSnipper. Below is a full reference of all available shortcuts.

Quickly select a snip type

  • CTRL + , : Validation Snip mode

  • CTRL + . : Exception Snip mode

  • CTRL + [ : Sum Snip mode

  • CTRL + = : Text Snip mode

  • CTRL + M : Table Snip mode

Integration with Excel shortcuts

  • CTRL + Z : Undo the creation or deletion of a snip

  • CTRL + C (with a snip selected) : Copy snip

  • CTRL + V (after copying) : Paste copied snip. When snips are pasted into another workbook, connected documents import automatically.

Navigate imported documents

Click the document viewer first to bring it into focus, then use these keys:

  • ← / → : Scroll left/right, or switch to the previous/next document depending on scroll position

  • ↑ / ↓ : Scroll the document up/down

  • Page Up / Page Down : Scroll one page at a time
